We have got an exciting opportunity for Student Services and Wellbeing Coordinator to be part of our team at f University of Canberra in our Sydney Hills in Castle Hill campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for students and visitors to the campus.
  • Processing student enquires or ensuring appropriate referral of student enquiries in courteous and timely manner.
  • Referring students to the most appropriate support service including advocacy financial assistance counselling services and services to assist students including those who are the victims of discrimination bullying and/or sexual harassment.
  • Advocating for students in matters of payment plans extensions and other enquiries that may arise.
  • Under the direction of the coordinator implement strategies that positively impact student services operations.
  • Take a lead role in organising new students and advocating for student welfare
  • Management of student mentors and associated student clubs/associations
  • Support submissions of student applications for health cover to relevant health fund providers.
  • Undertake other duties (commensurate with the classification of the role) as requested by the Campus Services Manager.

As the successful candidate you will ideally have:

  • Completion of a relevant degree or completion of a degree with relevant work experience. At least one years relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of the ESOS Act and National Code of Practice and specifically how it pertains to student support delivery for international students.
  • Analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills Consultative and open-minded with highly effective communication and interpersonal skills Strong team player able to collaborate effectively with others to achieve common goals Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with students and staff from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
