Days: Monday Friday
Shift: Day Shift
Hours: 8:30 AM 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Additional: Occasional Saturday shifts as needed
Compensation
Weekly Gross: $2976/week
W2 Rate: $38/hour
Stipend: $1456/week
Local Rate: $65/hour
Job Summary
The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality mammographic imaging procedures in an outpatient setting. This role ensures patient safety comfort and diagnostic accuracy while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and professional guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations following established protocols.
Prepare and position patients appropriately explaining procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.
Operate mammography equipment safely and effectively to obtain high-quality images.
Maintain patient confidentiality and provide compassionate patient-centered care.
Ensure compliance with MQSA ACR and facility quality assurance standards.
Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records in applicable systems.
Perform routine equipment quality control and report any issues promptly.
Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to support efficient patient workflow.
Adhere to infection control radiation safety and workplace safety policies.
Required Qualifications
ARRT certification in Mammography (required).
Active Texas state license (if applicable).
Minimum 2 years of mammography experience in an outpatient or imaging center setting.
Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
