Early career talentsourced through strategic university partnerships and pipeline programsis one of Vertivs most critical long-term talent investments.
In this role you will be responsible for building driving and owning our Early Career Programs strategy including university partnerships the Americas internship recruitment cycle early talent pipelines and program development. You will collaborate cross-functionally with HR Hiring Managers Talent Management Brand & Communications and business leaders to deliver a world-class early careers experience that aligns to Vertivs culture core behaviors and strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
University & Early Talent Strategy
- Own and drive strategic partnerships with targeted universities across the U.S. to build long-term sustainable early career pipelines.
- Evaluate new schools organizations associations and partnerships to expand access to diverse early talent pools.
- Partner with the Talent Management COE to refine and execute Vertivs annual university recruitment strategy including school selection event planning and relationship management.
Program Ownership & Pipeline Development
- Own and lead the full lifecycle recruitment for Vertivs AMR (Americas) internship program engineering & product development new graduate programs leadership development programs and other early career pipelines.
- Identify opportunities to create strengthen or scale early career pipelines aligned to Vertivs workforce planning needs.
- Partner with HR business leaders and Workforce Planning to ensure interns and graduates transition successfully into the organization (onboarding performance expectations conversion strategy).
Campus & Employer Branding
- Serve as the primary Vertiv representative for campus events career fairs student organizations and faculty partnerships.
- Partner with Brand & Communications to ensure early talent messaging is aligned with Vertivs employer brand and resonates with student audiences.
- Ensure consistency of early career brand presence across digital channels universities and talent communities.
Recruitment Delivery
- Execute the full-cycle recruitment process for interns and early career hiressourcing screening assessing coordinating interviews offer management and hiring.
- Manage intern and new grad onboarding processes in partnership with HR and business units ensuring a seamless and engaging candidate experience.
- During off-season periods provide full-cycle corporate recruiting support to the Americas TA team.
Program Execution & Continuous Improvement
- Lead planning and execution of all university events in partnership with the Talent Management COE.
- Track analyze and report hiring data event ROI funnel health and conversion metrics.
- Make data-informed recommendations to improve recruitment strategy processes and pipeline effectiveness.
- Partner to design and enhance program structure for interns and early career hires ensuring strong engagement career development and retention outcomes.
Education Skills & Experience Requirements
Education
- Bachelors Degree (B.A./B.S.) required.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in early careers university relations or student programs recruitment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment.
- Demonstrated experience executing or supporting a structured internship program.
- Experience engaging with colleges/universities and leading campus events.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; confident collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to gather interpret and present data to inform strategic decisions.
- Understanding of the university recruiting landscape and campus event planning.
- Ability to build strong internal partnerships across TA HR Talent Management and business units.
- Strong relationship-building skills with students faculty and external partners.
- Creative problem solver with a passion for building scalable high-impact early talent programs.
