Job Overview

A large tertiary care hospital in upstate New York is seeking a licensed X-Ray Technologist to join its radiology team. This role supports diagnostic imaging services across multiple departments ensuring high-quality imaging and patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols

• Ensure proper patient positioning radiation safety and image quality

• Maintain compliance with radiation protection standards and hospital policies

• Accurately document procedures and patient information

• Collaborate with radiologists cardiology teams and other healthcare professionals

• Provide weekend coverage and on-call support as required

Schedule & Call Requirements

• Weekend coverage as needed

• On-call rotation: 3 weeks of night call (average of 3 call-ins per month)

• Flex agency assignments up to 3 times during the length of the contract

Minimum Qualifications

• Active Radiologic Technologist license required upon start

• ARRT Certification required

• BLS Certification required

Traveler & Candidate Requirements

• Local candidates accepted if residing more than a 75-mile radius from the facility

• First-time travelers accepted
