About the opportunity

Student Equity and Success are looking for a Student Jobs Recruitment Officer to join their fast-paced team.

Working under the direction of Student Jobs Team Leader the Student Jobs Recruitment Officer will deliver consistent recruitment practices across all paid student opportunities within the Student Equity and Success portfolio and promote these to the broader University community.

As our new Student Jobs Recruitment Officer you will support the recruitment and onboarding process of students for a wide range of paid opportunities that will help them develop their skills and enhance their employability.

You will advertise and promote employment experiences through different channels as well as collaborate with the delivery of employability initiatives and events that the University delivers throughout the year.

You will provide advice on developing and reviewing positions that are deemed to be a student role at the University.

You will also coordinate the day-to-day administration of the Universitys student jobs portal Career Connect in partnership with the other Student Job Recruitment Officers. As well as supporting a range of administrative tasks employability initiatives activities and events that promote employment education for students.

What youll do:

  • Deliver best practice recruitment for paid and unpaid opportunities for current students collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet their recruitment requirements.
  • Provide advice and support to internal stakeholders on developing and reviewing student roles to ensure they meet employability objectives.
  • Prepare and present professional paper and digital materials for recruitment marketing workshops onboarding evaluation and reporting.
  • Support the planning and delivery of a range of employability initiatives activities and events.
  • Complete daily administrative tasks that support the teams employment services.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting on recruitment activities portal usage and student engagement metrics.

What were looking for:

  • Experience in supporting or managing best practice recruitment and selection processes or completion of relevant qualifications with a demonstrated willingness to learn on the job.
  • Excellent IT skills with experience using a range of software tools (e.g. Microsoft 365 Teams) job portals (such as Career Connect) event management systems and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to deliver and present workshops information and onboarding sessions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build effective relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills including the ability to use initiative prioritise and solve problems and meet strict deadlines whilst working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in the preparation and dissemination of materials including reports and promotional material and he ability to assist with research tasks and projects with thoroughness and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a continuously changing and highly collaborative environment.

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $105665 (pro rata) comprising base salary within the range of $80869 to $90312 plus 17% superannuation.
