Trade Assistant l Canning Vale l $36 pr hr Base Pens

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Trade Assistant to support workshop operations in a busy industrial environment. This hands-on role involves assisting tradespeople with the assembly maintenance and testing of engineered equipment while ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

About the Role:

Assist tradespeople with mechanical assembly and disassembly
Prepare tools parts and materials for workshop jobs
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
Support testing and inspection activities under supervision
Maintain a clean organised and safe work environment including high pressure cleaning
Follow all safety quality and operational procedures

Experience:

Essential:

Previous experience as a Trade Assistant or in a mechanical / workshop environment
Good mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand and power tools
Strong safety awareness and reliable work ethic
Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
Forklift licence

Desirable:

Experience in heavy engineering manufacturing mining or oil & gas
Rigging dogging or other relevant tickets
Mechanical pre-apprenticeship or trade studies

Benefits: $36.00 per hour Base Pens

38 hours/week Monday to Friday standard 45 hour week
