Description
The Connecticut General Assembly Senate Democratic Office seeks a temporary entry-level Video Production Communications Assistant with the potential to transition into a full-time position for an exciting opportunity in a dynamic environment. The Communications Assistant will work to maintain and expand caucus brand through video content. Works under the supervision of the Communications Director. Work is often performed independently.
Typical Qualifications
- Proficiency in video editing tools such as CapCut Adobe Premiere Final Cut Pro Canva Video or similar platforms. CapCut experience is preferred.
- Experience filming and editing short-form video content for social media.
- Understanding of best practices for video content on platforms like Instagram Reels TikTok and Facebook.
- Ability to take feedback and make timely revisions.
- Interest in public policy government or politics
- Flexible schedule with availability to work at the Capitol in Hartford during business hours and occasionally attend events off-site.
- Ability to operate independently and exercise judgment as well as the ability to work effectively as a team member.
Supplemental Information
- This is a temporary position but there is potential for it to expand into a full-time role based on performance and the needs of the office.
- Hourly rate commensurate with experience.
