Registered Nurse (RN) - Pre-Admission Testing (PAT)
Bloomington Eye Institute is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) Nurse. This primarily desk-based role plays a critical part in preparing patients for ophthalmic surgery by ensuring all medical clinical and administrative requirements are complete prior to the patients surgical date. The PAT Nurse works closely with the Clinical Manager anesthesia team scheduler Surgeons and clinical staff to ensure smooth surgical flow.

- Schedule Preparation & Distribution
- Chart Management & Documentation
- Anesthesia Coordination
- Safety Quality & Compliance
Supportive Duties Include:
- Assist the Clinical Manager with clinical assignments or scheduling if needed.
- Occasionally covering the Surgical Scheduler role
- Help clinical or surgical assistants with calls chart prep or scanning when time permits.
- Maintain a clean organized and secure PAT workspace
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Illinois (required)
- Prior experience in ambulatory surgery pre-admission testing pre-op/PACU or surgical coordination preferred
- Strong assessment skills and ability to recognize abnormal medical findings
- Excellent communication critical thinking and organizational skills
- Proficiency with EHR systems and comfort with administrative detail-focused work
- BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred (or willingness to obtain)
