Senior Arts Support Worker Bindi Enterprises Alice Springs
The role of the Senior Arts Support Worker is to deliver a digital arts training and communication program for people living with disability.
What Youll Be Doing
- Plan prepare and deliver quality Digital Art workshops
- Identify participants training support needs and support participants through the active development of support learning environments and effective behaviour management practices
- Liaise with Stakeholders/NDIS to secure participants funding for attendance
- Maintain participant records and samples of work and report on participant performance to Bindi Management and other stakeholders as required
- Regularly assess participants for developmental feedback and reporting
- Work alongside the Bindi Enterprises Operations Manager to collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen the capacity of the art program
- Develop knowledge and understanding of cultural backgrounds and perspectives and utilize this knowledge to inform your practice and support of people
- Immediately report all incidents or situations that may negatively impact the health and welding or reputation of people we support or the organisation following organisational reporting protocols
What Youll Need
- NDIS Worker Screening Check & National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid & CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain)
- Drivers Licence
- Sound knowledge and practical experience of Digital Art forms
- Ability to plan prepare and deliver Digital Arts training to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of participants
- Knowledge of and the ability to implement effective and inclusive teaching and learning processes including the use of learning technology and assessment
- Ability to communicate effectively with participants through appropriate interpersonal skills
- Experience in disability support arts or community services
- Great communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility for occasional weekend/evening events
Bonus Points For
- Knowledge and experience in other visual arts sectors including the Aboriginal Arts industry
- Cert III/IV in Disability Community Services or similar
