JOB TITLE: Online Catawba HS Teacher

French Teacher

JOB DESCRIPTION

DEPARTMENT:	Online Learning Department
FLSA:	Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY:	To review modify and/or develop online course content and provide online instruction for Online Catawba.
DURATION:	Spring semester
COURSES:	French Teacher for OC High School

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Review modify and/or develop course content and other course materials to be delivered to students using the Canvas (LMS).
Provide student-centered online teaching monitoring coaching office hours and mentoring.
Participate in regular instructor meetings face-to-face and/or virtually.
Contribute to improvement efforts including the regular self-evaluation of course outcomes assessments and content alignment with standards.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs other job related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Teaching experience
NC teaching licenses (certification within the content area)
Experience teaching in an online learning environment
Experience developing online content/courses
Excellent written communication skills
Willingness to communicate with students through virtual webinars and/or face-to-face
Willingness to maintain weekly office hours (minimum of 2.5 hours)
Ability to work independently in an online learning environment
Self-motivated teacher with excellent time management skills

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

Experience with Canvas
Proficient with G-Suite
Proven results in effectively communicating with students parents peers and supervisors.
