We are currently hiring for an RN - Orthopedic/Surgical position! This is a .8 FTE with Evening/Night shifts requiring 8 hour shifts every other weekend. Current RN License Required. Minimum of 1 year of relevant RN experience is preferred.
An RN position in the Orthopedic/Surgical Unit at Gillette Childrens involves providing specialized care to pediatric patients under 18 who are recovering from surgery and require an inpatient stay of one or more addition to post-surgical care nurses in this unit also care for non-surgical patients needing medical treatment that requires a short hospital stay. RNs in this role collaborate with surgeons anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to manage pain wound care and recovery while also educating families about the treatment process. This position requires strong clinical skills attention to detail and a compassionate family-centered approach to care.
This position exists to administer family-centered nursing care to patients advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention and/or provide skilled assistance in navigation of the health care system as appropriate to the developmental cultural emotional and medical surgical or rehabilitative needs of the patient and their families.
Compensation & Benefits Information
The hourly wage for this opportunity is $41.22-$70.45. Pay is dependent on several factors including number of hours worked within the field education and certification/licensure: $1.75 weekends/ $2.35 evenings/ $4.00 nights differential is available for this position. Hourly pay is just one part of the compensation package for employees.
