Overview:

Sentara is currently hiring a Unit Coordinator RN to work at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital on the Cardiac Care Unit.

Hours/Shift:

Full-time dayshift. Approximately 7am to 7pm

Department/Position Overview:

CCU (Cardiac Care Unit) is a 12-bed high-level intermediate care unit that specializes in caring for cardiac and vascular patients before and after interventional procedures and surgeries such as cardiac catheterizations coronary bypass surgery carotid surgery and peripheral vascular surgery. CCU also cares for congestive heart failure and arrhythmia patients. We do bedside transesophageal echocardiograms and cardioversions remove chest tubes and central lines and so much more.

RN Unit Coordinators demonstrate proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives focuses on and simplifies workflow and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.

Minimum Requirements:

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• 18 months nursing experience
• BSN MSN or RN Doctorate from an accredited school
• BLS required within 90 days of hire
