Job Summary

Staff Education Training and Development Department (SETDD) - Administration

We are seeking applications for the following permanent role

Administration Grade IV (Permanent Post) (35 hrs per week)

ABOUT:

St. Michaels House (SMH) provides services and support to people with disabilities primarily with intellectual disabilities (ID) and/or Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families and supporters in the greater Dublin area. Currently we provide a range of services and supports to over 2300 service users including 1366 children with complex needs. We employ over 1800 staff across a range of roles and grades; direct support workers social care workers and leaders persons in charge nurses doctors managers clinical staff administration ICT transport education and training and maintenance. We would welcome hearing from you if you are a self-starter with a passion for excellence in the delivery of staff education and training and if you meet the following criteria:

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Have obtained a pass (Grade D) in at least five subjects from the approved list of subjects in the Department of Education Leaving Certificate Examination including Mathematics and English or Irish. Candidates should have obtained at least Grade C on higher level papers in three subjects in that examination.

Or

Have completed a relevant examination at a comparable standard in any equivalent examination in another jurisdiction.

Or

Hold a comparable and relevant third level qualification of at least level 6 on the National Qualifications Framework maintained by Qualifications and Quality Ireland (QQI).

Previous experience in training administration training coordination or healthcare administration.

Knowledge of HSE policies and HIQA standards related to infection prevention.

Experience supporting training programs within a healthcare or educational setting.

Familiarity with training databases including data collection and producing reports

Familiarity with online learning.

  • Excellent IT skills including strong proficiency in MS Word & Excel
  • A proven ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet deadlines with particular attention to detail and accuracy
  • Flexible and the ability to multi-task
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic
  • Excellent telephone and communication skills.
  • An ability to be highly professional and confidential
  • A proven ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
  • Diary management and experience in Minute taking

Salary Scale: The successful candidate will be paid in line with HSE consolidated pay Administration Grade IV scale (August 2025 rates) (12-point scale) or pro rata.

Applicants without public sector experience will be placed on point 1 of the pay scale.

Contract Duration: Permanent
