The Regional Security Manager (based in AbbVie North Dublin) will be primarily responsible for developing implementing and managing strategic security services planning in partnership with the Regional Security Director EMEA.
You will oversee all of the AbbVie Ireland sites as well as six additional sites across Europe. There is an expectation that travel to these sites should not exceed 20% of working time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the Regional Security Director Internal and External Manufacturing Security (Europe and Asia) to deliver the Enterprise Global Security Crisis preparedness and Business Continuity program on the sites in your region. This will include the delivery of Crisis Management training and Table-Top Exercises.
- Lead the alignment of key Global Security platforms and capabilities within site preparedness and resilience programs including Enterprise CCTV & access control systems alert platforms and Business Continuity management.
- Lead the delivery of security onboarding and awareness training to the employee body in your region and to provide security advice and assessment upon request as a trusted advisor to sites.
- As part of the enterprise Global Security organisation deliver tailored strategic threat assessments on the threats identified within your designated region which may affect business resilience & essential operations.
- Partner with site leadership teams across your allocated region to lead the development of capacity within the Security Coordinator network already established within the business.
- Have geographical accountability in terms of organizational assets facilities and the number and size of operating sites.
- Identify develop implement and maintain security processes across the organization to limit exposure to liability in an effort to reduce financial and reputational loss.
- As the Regional SME (subject matter expert) in your field support our protective services model by identifying significant security risks ahead of executive visits to the region and special events.
- Develop and implement protocols procedures standards training methods strategies and programs to prevent or mitigate company losses due to theft misuse vandalism assault product tampering espionage sabotage or financial loss.
- In addition to directing the approach deployment and execution of investigations and team-based development effort you will also maintain close relationships with local law enforcement intelligence and private sector counterparts (to include in-country security and international security agencies).
- Brief and advise senior leadership on the status of area security issues and also lead global security programs & projects across our sites.
- Support the Regional Security Director in the delivery of Security infrastructure upgrade projects across the region in keeping with good governance and project stewardship.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree.
- Extensive experience within a major law enforcement military intelligence public service or private sector security organization.
- Ability to lead and manage the overall security program for a particular region.
- International work experience in these areas is highly desired
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to and influence senior and executive leadership are required.
- Previous experience in the use of Corporate Security systems platforms is highly desired.
