The Foundation Brake Systems Coordinator is responsible for overseeing electromechanical foundation brake caliper development in the North America region. This role demands exceptional leadership and coordination skills to ensure the successful execution of complex brake system projects.
- Provide strategic leadership for all electromechanical foundation brake caliper development initiatives in the North America region ensuring adherence to engineering requirements and project timelines.
- Lead and mentor a specialized team of foundation brake caliper engineers fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Orchestrate global coordination of foundation brake caliper validation plans and procedures collaborating with internal and external service providers.
- Facilitate global coordination of foundation brake caliper acquisitions requirements procedures and validation plans interfacing directly with customers and suppliers to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Spearhead global coordination of foundation brake caliper topics with the platform foundation brake team promoting synergy and knowledge sharing across international teams.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate for the Foundation Brake Systems Coordinator position must possess the following critical qualifications:
- Experience in hydraulic and electromechanical caliper design release demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of foundation brake system engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of caliper assembly component level testing and validation testing methodologies essential for ensuring product quality and reliability.
- Understanding of caliper prototyping and manufacturing processes
- Experience with caliper packaging vital for optimizing product design and integration.
- Knowledge of the brake friction selection process and the fundamentals of brake friction performance
- Experience with developing and facilitating caliper FMEAs DVPs and FTAs
- Established relationships with caliper brake suppliers both locally and globally essential for global coordination of foundation brake caliper development
- Demonstrated leadership skills in working with caliper suppliers and customers critical for maintaining business relationships and ensuring project success.
- Proven ability to lead or work effectively within small teams showcasing strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
- A Bachelors degree in engineering is required
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is strongly preferred ensuring the depth of expertise required for this position.
