Job Description
The Field Engineer reports to the Construction Manager on a ground-up progressive design-build 115000sf County office building. Provides construction management support services and field coordination. This position will observe and support construction in the field.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Scope of Duties will be performed under the supervision of a Construction Manager and as part of a larger Vanir team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Document various project meetings during construction.
- Manage the Submittal and RFI processes and logs.
- Review as-built set of drawings and specifications.
- Assist with the evaluation of PCOs.
- Assist with reviewing schedules and pay apps.
- Observe/monitor contractors work in the field; prepare daily reports including progress photos.
- Assist with facilitating inspections with AHJs.
- Assist with project closeout activities e.g. punchlist training documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4-year college degree required. Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
- Knowledge of construction contracts drawings estimates and specifications to ensure compliance with construction/project requirements.
- Ability to work positively in a team environment.
- Good verbal and written skills for clear and concise communication to team members.
- Ability to meet deadlines and be proactive in analyzing the project and next steps to achieve success.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat Excel and Word.
Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors including education qualifications experience and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $80000-$100000.
