As a Portfolio Manager you will be part of managing the full portfolio of grant awarding initiatives and strategic projects across the Novo Nordisk Foundation including developing and driving the review of planned and ongoing activities to ensure that they fulfil the Foundations strategic goals and vision.
You will be part of a dedicated team consisting of fifteen highly skilled colleagues and student assistants. Besides our Department you will be working in close collaboration with Executive Management and departments across the entire Foundation.

Your tasks will include:
- Collecting and coordinating input from across the Foundation to prepare documents and presentations for the Foundations Board of Directors and Portfolio Board
- Analysing and translating large data sets into comprehensive and graphically pleasing overviews
- Supporting efficient communication of complex initiatives and themes across the broad portfolio of grant awarding initiatives aimed at assisting the Foundations Board of Directors and Portfolio Board in their decision making and prioritisations
- Assisting the development implementation and maintenance of cross-organisational processes and best practices for development and execution of strategic stand-alone initiatives
- Providing executive support to the Director of IPP including research and presentation development for internal and external speaking engagements
RequirementsWe are looking for a candidate with at least a few years of relevant experience within process management management consulting communication and/or business addition we expect that you have:
- At least an MSc within business development or one of the scientific focus areas of the Foundation e.g. biomedicine health sciences biotechnology or natural sciences
- Experience from working with executive management and other senior stakeholders including excellent skills within problem definition analysis and solution development. Experience of working with Portfolio Management is considered an advantage
- Expertise in data analysis and data visualisation with significant experience with handling large data sets and developing graphically pleasing presentations
- Excellent project management skills high level of expertise within Microsoft Office and experience with preparing and presenting quantitative and qualitative analyses
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal); Danish is an advantage but not a prerequisite
- Strong understanding of the scientific community/ecosystem and a passion for the Foundations vision and focus areas
Besides being analytical with a high attention to detail you are:
- Excellent at visualising data and producing professional and graphically pleasing material
- Positive ambitious and with a structured approach to problem-solving
- Strong in interpersonal skills proactively building relations with colleagues and with a strong ability to interact with senior stakeholders
- Agile and thrive in a dynamic growing organisation
- A team player that thrives on succeeding together with an ability to both coordinate teams and work as a team member
