Job Summary
Just Better Care Brisbane North is seeking compassionate and reliable Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to join our NDIS Service Program in a Permanent Part-Time capacity supporting participants to live safely independently and with dignity in their own homes and communities. This role would suit an EN who enjoys building strong relationships working autonomously and making a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disability. The successful candidate/s must be willing and able to travel to the suburbs in Inner West Brisbane & CBD area. The role:
This role involves travelling between customers homes and providing individual and personalised support to customers in accordance with their support plans and/or medical practitioners directions.
Duties and responsibilities may include:
- Working with or under the guidance of Registered Nurses Allied Health professionals and medical practitioners
- Medication Administration and Complex Clinical Care eg. Palliative Care Epilepsy Bowel Care/ Suppositories Catheter Care Stoma Care Oxygen and more
- Monitoring and communicating on the customers wellbeing and reporting on progress of customers
- Providing assistance with daily living and personal care
- Ensuring that all services are provided in a caring and respectful way in accordance with Just Better Cares policy and procedures legislative requirements and program specific guidelines
- Provide coaching and guidance to Community Support Professionals and Support Staff/Case Managers as required
- Demonstrating a commitment to best practice and evidence of continued professional development
- Participating in staff meetings and attending training opportunities when required
What you will need:
- Current Enrolled Nurse registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Current Working with Children Check and current NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Reliable registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance)
- Smartphone with internet access
- Proof of Vaccination (where relevant) i.e. COVID-19 vaccination certificate
About you:
- Experience working with people with disability and/or within the NDIS (highly regarded)
- Available Monday to Friday and flexibility with working hours between 6.45am-5.45pm
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A compassionate respectful and professional approach
