Nganampa Health Council (NHC) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Officer in this newly created role supporting our growing organisation. We welcome experienced payroll professionals or candidates who are keen to learn payroll and build their career.
Working alongside our experienced Payroll Manager youll play a key role in supporting accurate payroll processing maintaining employee records and providing a high level of service to our staff.

Key Responsibilities
You will support the Payroll Manager to:
Process accurate and timely payments of wages and entitlements for a diverse workforce.
Maintain and manage payroll systems including data entry calculations reconciliations and reporting.
Work collaboratively with HR managers staff and external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation awards enterprise agreements and organisational policies.
Prepare payroll reports manage tax obligations and support ad-hoc payroll projects.

Strong attention to detail.
Experience using accounting or payroll software (Employment Hero highly desirable).
Intermediate Microsoft Excel Skills.
Strong award and enterprise agreement interpretation skills.
Excellent communication client service and relationship-building skills.

Sound analytical problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
A willingness to learn and contribute to continuous improvement.
