Shipside Operations Specialist

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Associate Shipside Operations Specialist (Level 2) to support the Boeing Salt Lake (BSL) team in West Jordan Utah.

Position Responsibilities:

• Coordinate activities across multiple functions to resolve emergent operational issues and support implementation of strategies and plans

• Conduct process assessments against standards provide feedback and identify opportunities for improvement

• Adapt effectively to changes in work tasks structures and culture while encouraging innovative problem-solving and facilitating change acceptance

• Plan and organize work by involving stakeholders anticipating critical events assigning responsibilities and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion

• Apply knowledge of an array of manufacturing and assembly processes shop safety (including FOD ESD) and quality standards to support operations

• Collaborate with various Operations and non-Operations departments to understand interdependencies and drive effective outcomes

• Develop solutions for moderately complex problems by applying established policies procedures and best practices

• Represent the organization in interactions with internal teams and external customers on specific projects

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 1 years of experience in an aerospace fabrication or manufacturing environment

• 1 years of experience collecting organizing synthesizing and analyzing data

• 1 years of experience implementing Lean methodologies and productivity improvements

• Proficient Microsoft Office tools (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook)

• Able to work overtime holidays and weekends if required

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 1 year of leadership experience

• 1 year of flight line operations experience

• 1 years of experience working with Shipside Action Tracker (SAT)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations.
