Opportunity Summary:
The intern will complete a 12 week Fieldwork assignment where they will be responsible for completing evaluation assessments and developing intervention plans for clients with SMI conditions. Students will lead groups and engage with clients 1:1.
Opportunity time frame:
Students will work 40 hrs/wk for 12 weeks onsite with remote assignments as assigned by the clinical instructor.
Eligibility requirements:
Be an enrolled student in an accredited OT or OTA program and have been pre-selected by the Sheppard Pratt OT via collaboration with the school.
Learning model:
1:1 training/mentoring collaborative engagement with other interns interprofessional engagement with other disciplines/departments.
Student expectations:
12 weeks of robust engagement and hnad.
Student tasks:
Complete OT evaluations home environment assessments lead groups engage clients in community activities.
