Contract Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $50.00 $64.00/hour
Weekly Pay: $1875 $2400 (based on 40 hours)
Schedule & Hours
Shift Time: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Hours per Day: 8.5 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Meal Break: 30-minute unpaid lunch
Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) for an 8-week contract assignment in Parkersburg WV. This role provides overall clinical leadership and operational oversight of nursing services ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care in compliance with state and federal regulations.
The ideal candidate is a confident nursing leader with strong clinical expertise proven staff management experience and in-depth knowledge of long-term care regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia or Compact License
Prior experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) required
Strong background in long-term care or skilled nursing facility (SNF) settings
Thorough knowledge of CMS state and federal regulations
Proven leadership communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage clinical operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment
BLS certification preferred
Responsibilities
Direct and oversee all nursing operations and clinical services
Ensure compliance with CMS state and federal regulatory requirements
Lead mentor and support nursing staff including RNs LPNs and CNAs
Develop implement and evaluate nursing policies and standards of care
Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
Collaborate with physicians interdisciplinary teams and ancillary services
Support staffing scheduling and staff development activities
Ensure accurate clinical documentation and adherence to best practices
Address clinical issues risk management and resident safety concerns
Serve as a clinical resource to nursing leadership and frontline staff
Maintain survey readiness and support regulatory survey processes
