We are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead hands-on electrical and automation projects in the manufacturing and entertainment industries. This is a fully technical role responsible for designing control systems from concept to commissioning including PLC programming electrical panels hardware selection and system integration. You will work directly with cross-functional teams vendors and on-site staff to ensure safe reliable and efficient automation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement control systems from scratch: hardware software and network components
- Develop PLC programs (Ladder Logic Structured Text; Rockwell/Allen-Bradley Siemens preferred)
- Design electrical panels perform power calculations and ensure code compliance
- Troubleshoot startup and commission complex industrial automation systems
- Collaborate with engineers designers and technicians for seamless system integration
- Support safety-critical design redundant mitigations and system reliability
- Create detailed documentation: schematics panel drawings software configuration and test plans
Qualifications:
- 810 years of Controls / Automation Engineering experience
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field with direct controls experience
- Strong PLC programming skills and hands-on experience with industrial automation hardware and I/O
- Experience with system troubleshooting startup and commissioning
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software for electrical/control design
- Knowledge of safety standards SIL/PL concepts and regulated environments is a plus
