Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Possession of a baccalaureate degree in business administration human resources social sciences nursing or related field and three (3) year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for project management academic class scheduling student placements clinical placement and/or staffing requirements; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education knowledge skills and abilities as indicated.
  2. Considerable working knowledge of principles practices and techniques in the area of project management academic class scheduling student placements clinical placement and/or staffing requirements as demonstrated by the broad knowledge of the full range of pertinent standard and evolving concepts principles and methodologies.
  3. Considerable working knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state laws rules regulations and theories and systems associated with project management academic class scheduling student placements clinical placement and/or staffing management.
  4. Demonstrated ability to resolve wide ranging complex problems through the use of creative reasoning and logic to accurately determine the cause of the problems and the resolution of the problems in an effective innovative and timely manner.
  5. Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing verbally and by preparation of reports and other materials.
  6. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations groups team leaders and members and individuals.
  7. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software.
  8. If applicable for supervisory work demonstrated ability to lead subordinates manage work priorities and projects and manage employee relations.
  9. Self-starter with demonstrated ability to learn new operating systems quickly.
  10. Demonstrated ability to be well-organized multi-task pay attention to detail and effectively manage projects.
  11. Demonstrated ability to effectively participate and collaborate as a member of a team or lead/facilitate teams.
  12. Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment problem-solving and communication skills with a high standard of customer service when responding to complex and demanding situations inquiries or complaints.
  13. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications like Excel Word and Outlook including the capability to efficiently input and manage data within a professional database system or related programs.
  14. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work with administration faculty staff students clinical agency personnel and other individuals/external groups.
  15. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of FERPA and HIPAA regulations and willingness to obtain university certification in relevant regulations.
  16. Able to work outside of normal business hours including evenings weekends and/or holidays.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience in support services in an academic environment.
  • Experience in a health professions school in higher education.
  • Experience or familiarity with human resources management and associated processes.
  • Experience in working with Adobe Pro Google Workspace (Drive Sheets) and Dropbox.
  • Experience in working with Banner (student information system) Coursedog (academic scheduling platform) andCCPS (centralized clinical placement system).
  • Experience with or knowledge of nursing education programs and field placement activities.
  • Licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice as an RN in Hawaii
