JOB TITLE:Manager of Operations
Tentative hours: Monday to Friday and on-call responsibilities
Job Type: Full-time Permanent Position with a Benefit Package after probation
Salary: $58000 to $65000 per year

oneROOF Youth Services is a multi-service agency for youth (12-25) experiencing or at-risk of homelessness in the Waterloo Region. Our services include meeting basic needs outreach street-to-housing support services family reconnect support mental health and addictions support/services providing harm reduction supplies daytime services food hampers and emergency shelter.
Job Skills Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure consistent delivery of shelter services including intake case management support and referrals
- Collaborate with case managers community partners and outreach teams
- Support crisis intervention and incident response involving staff and youth
- Monitor shelter capacity intakes exits and length of stay
- Oversee day-to-day shelter and daytime service operations to ensure safety cleanliness and functionality
- Ensure compliance with health safety licensing and funding requirements
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures
- Supervise and support direct reports (Supervisor of Programs and Client Services Coordinator) along with full-time and part-time staff
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate 24/7 coverage
- Provide coaching performance evaluations and corrective action as needed
- Support staff training in trauma-informed care de-escalation and crisis response
- Promote a trauma-informed youth-centered and culturally responsive environment
- Address client grievances and ensure fair enforcement of shelter rules
- Support conflict resolution and restorative practices
Required
- Bachelors degree in Social Services or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 35 years of experience in shelter operations residential programs or nonprofit management
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- Knowledge of youth homelessness trauma-informed care and crisis intervention
- Strong organizational leadership and communication skills
- Leadership and team development
- Crisis management and de-escalation
- Time management and problem-solving
- Cultural humility and youth advocacy
- Must have a valid First Aid and CPR certification
- Must produce a recent Vulnerable Sector and Criminal Record Check
