The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector has an opening for an experienced Sr. Portfolio Director to oversee modernization of services for the Department of State. The Portfolio Director will be responsible for leading a team in the growth and execution of a Portfolio of contracts valued at up to $100M annually leading and motivating a talented and diverse team delivering on critical proposals programs and projects for customers. You will develop and execute a strategy for successful performance and contract growth. You will be responsible for planning organizing securing and retaining resources that drive successful execution of requirements.
You and your teams will adopt your customers mission as your own and passionately pursue ideas and opportunities to support that mission. You will develop and pursue opportunities to grow your portfolio consistent with the strategic direction you have helped define and set. You are experienced in pursuing opportunities and on-contract growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the Portfolio Director responsible for providing vision leadership direction and motivation across all functions that yields exceptional performance on existing contracts and builds a path to opportunity and growth.
Provide executive-level oversight and strategic direction to all program activities.
Build and maintain effective relationships with customers subcontractors and suppliers.
Connect with competitors and partners alike within industry forging useful relationships.
Build effective financial forecasts and meet financial targets.
Ensure compliance with project schedules budgets and contractual requirements.
Maintain technical and financial reporting to track progress identify risks and support decision-making.
Oversee staffing and team performance promoting high retention and professional development.
Support business development initiatives by identifying and pursuing new opportunities aligned with program scope.
Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across all aspects of program delivery.
Required Qualifications:
Active Top Secret security clearance.
Bachelors degree and 12 years of prior relevant experience or a masters degree with 10 years of lieu of degree candidate must have 20 years experience.
Minimum of 10 years of experience supervising or leading large teams or complex projects.
Demonstrated capability of managing highly complex programs of $100M/yr or $500M total and all associated financials and contract deliverables.
Demonstrated experience in IT Service Delivery using an ITIL/ITSM framework within a large-scale enterprise environment.
Proven success applying Earned Value Management (EVM) principles on large-scale projects.
Experience managing geographically dispersed operations and engineering staff of varying skill levels.
Possesses a current Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Desired Qualifications:
Prior experience supporting programs for the U.S. Department of State.
