Job Summary:

• Observation and inspection of various construction projects including roadways bridges pedestrian facilities utilities and associated improvements. Daily travel required within Southwest Florida area. Company vehicle provided.

Your Responsibilities as a Construction Inspector - Transportation:

• Measures distances to verify accuracy of dimensions of structural installations and layouts.
• Verifies levels alignment and elevation of installations.
• Observe work in progress to determine whether procedures followed and materials used are in reasonable conformance with applicable specifications.
• Interprets blueprints and specifications for Contractor and discusses deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction.
• Maintains daily log of construction and inspection activities and compares progress reports.
• Track progress and quantity of construction work items.
• Perform and document testing of certain construction work items as defined in the contract documents.

What were looking for:

• Construction experience required in roadway bridge utility and/or site civil construction required. CEI experience with roadway construction preferred. Pay will be commensurate with experience level.
• Existing construction certifications (CTQP MOT ACI Troxler etc.) preferred but not required. Applicant must be willing and able to attain necessary certifications.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Must have an excellent driving record be at least 21 years of age and have a valid drivers license.
