About the School

A welcoming primary school in Southall is seeking a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from January. The Role

You will work as part of the SEN team providing 1:1 and small group support and supporting pupils both academically and emotionally. You will assist in classroom management help implement strategies to support behaviour and ensure that SEN pupils are fully included in all aspects of school life.

The role requires flexibility patience and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be a key member of the schools SEN provision making a direct impact on the progress and wellbeing of pupils.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver targeted SEN support to individuals and groups

  • Assist pupils with communication and social skills development

  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour

  • Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement learning strategies

  • Assist with personal care where necessary

  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback

  • Support transitions breaks and lunch periods


Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • Prior experience as an SEN TA in a primary setting

  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • A patient empathetic and nurturing approach

  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
