ABOUT US:
The TUMO Center for Creative Technologies is a free educational program that empowers teenagers aged 12 to 18 to take charge of their own learning paths allowing them to expand their knowledge in technology and creativity regardless of their socioeconomic background. Founded in Yerevan Armenia in 2011 TUMO is now present in 10 countries including France and Germany and soon in Japan the Netherlands and the United States.
Students combine TUMOs learning objectives Robotics Photography Game Development Graphic Design Filmmaking Programming Music and Animation to create personalized learning plans that they continuously adapt according to their progress and evolving interests. Soft skills such as teamwork initiative empathy and effective communication are integrated into the program alongside subject knowledge and technical skills.
Each student follows a personalized learning path based on their interests and progress supported by learning coaches and workshop leaders.
TUMO is completely free of charge for students made possible by the support of generous donors and partners. Our mission is to promote upward social mobility and accelerate social development through education.
In Portugal TUMO centers are already operating in Coimbra Lisbon and Porto each with a capacity for up to 1500 students with the ambition to scale further nationwide. The first international center operated by our team will open in Bilbao in September 2026.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Marketing & Admissions Manager will be responsible for defining and executing the end-to-end marketing and admissions strategy for TUMO Portugal and TUMO Bilbao. This role owns the full student recruitment funnel from strategic planning and campaign execution to admissions processes and final enrollment.
This is a highly execution-driven role combining strategic thinking with hands-on leadership. The Marketing & Admissions Manager will lead a distributed team across multiple centers ensure strong coordination with Communications and Operations and drive measurable results in student attraction conversion diversity and enrollment.
Reporting directly to the Executive Directors of TUMO Portugal this role works transversally across the organization and plays a key role in supporting TUMOs growth and international expansion.
Key responsibilities include:
Marketing & Admissions Strategy
- Define and own the integrated marketing and admissions strategy across all TUMO centers ensuring alignment with growth diversity and impact objectives.
- Design and manage the annual marketing plan including targets audiences channels budget and timelines.
- Adapt strategy to different local contexts (Portugal and Bilbao) while ensuring brand consistency and operational effectiveness across centers.
Campaign Execution (Online & Offline)
- Lead the execution of student acquisition campaigns across digital channels (paid media social media email landing pages) and offline channels (events school outreach community initiatives festivals open days).
- Work closely with the Communications team to ensure alignment between institutional narrative and student acquisition goals.
- Coordinate initiatives such as recruitment events ambassador programs family-focused activities and local partnerships.
- Oversee paid media activities working with an internal specialist or external agency ensuring clear briefs performance tracking and efficient budget use.
Admissions & Funnel Management
- Own and continuously improve the end-to-end admissions process from lead generation to final enrollment.
- Define and optimize candidate and parent communication processes (calls messages WhatsApp email in-person events).
- Ensure accurate and consistent management of student and candidates databases.
- Monitor and analyze key funnel metrics (leads conversion rates enrollments no-shows diversity indicators) and drive continuous improvement through data-informed decisions.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the existing Marketing & Admissions team currently distributed across multiple centers as well as future hires (including Bilbao).
- Define clear roles priorities and objectives ensuring strong ownership and accountability across the team.
- Ensure dedicated ownership of social media publishing and content execution aligned with the overall marketing strategy.
- Foster a culture of execution excellence accountability collaboration and results-driven decision-making.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience in marketing growth or student acquisition roles with direct responsibility over full-funnel performance. This is not an entry-level position.
- End-to-end funnel ownership: Proven experience managing acquisition conversion and admissions or sales processes with structured and measurable workflows.
- Leadership experience: Experience leading and developing teams ideally distributed across locations or functions.
- Paid media literacy: Solid practical understanding of paid media sufficient to define briefs review performance challenge results and work effectively with specialists or agencies.
- Execution-driven mindset: Strong ability to plan execute measure results and iterate quickly based on performance data.
- Ownership and accountability: Comfortable taking responsibility for outcomes prioritizing effectively and operating with a high level of autonomy.
- Stakeholder-oriented approach: Ability to work closely with multiple internal teams and external partners aligning marketing and admissions execution with operational realities.
- Languages: Fluency in English and Portuguese.
