Position : Business Development Head – Biologics CDMO (ROW Market)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Head to lead growth initiatives for our Biologics Contract Development & Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) business with a focus on large-scale fermentation biologics across Rest of World (ROW) markets. This role will drive global client acquisition strategic partnerships and revenue expansion positioning the company as a preferred partner for biologics manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Strategy
- Define and execute business development strategy for ROW markets (Asia-Pacific LATAM Middle East Africa).
- Identify new opportunities in biologics outsourcing including biosimilars novel biologics and microbial fermentation platforms.
- Monitor competitive landscape and regulatory trends to shape market entry strategies.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Build and nurture relationships with biotech pharma and emerging biopharma clients.
- Lead contract negotiations proposals and long-term partnership agreements.
- Serve as the primary liaison for key accounts ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
Revenue & Growth Leadership
- Deliver annual sales targets and revenue growth aligned with corporate objectives.
- Develop pricing strategies and commercial models for CDMO services.
- Collaborate with operations technical and project management teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with R&D manufacturing and regulatory teams to align client needs with technical capabilities.
- Support marketing and branding initiatives to enhance visibility in ROW markets.
- Represent the company at global conferences trade shows and industry forums.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Master’s degree or higher in Life Sciences Biotechnology Pharmacy or related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience:
- 12–15 years in business development sales or strategy roles within biologics CDMO/CMO biotech or pharma.
- Proven track record in large-scale fermentation biologics (microbial recombinant proteins enzymes biosimilars).
- Strong exposure to ROW markets and global client engagement.
- Skills:
- Deep understanding of biologics manufacturing processes regulatory frameworks and outsourcing models.
- Excellent negotiation communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-cultural teams and manage complex global accounts.
