The Armed Forces Recruiting Service (AFRS) will see MOD Serco and their consortium of partners providing a Tri-Service recruiting solution which for the RN will commence on 1 Apr 27. AFRS will provide end to end support from candidate attraction to assessment to preparing to join Phase 1 training. The solution will utilise Service Personnel in high value candidate facing roles in the Command and Support Unit and in recruitment selection Under-Represented Groups outreach and the national career centre.

Unit & Position Role |
Unit Function | The HQ AFR will deliver integrated tri-service recruitment for the Armed Forces to build and maintain force levels able to meet Defence outputs. |
Position Role | To provide information guidance and advice on all aspects of military life roles and career opportunities to potential candidates. |

Responsibilities |
1. Act as Lead UOTC/UAS/URNU Rejoiners and Non-Traditional Entry CA. Perform Line Manager responsibilities | |
2. Act as the main point of contact for all candidates within the Contact Phase from initial enquiry through to successful completion of application. | |
3. Conduct 1 to 1 appointments virtually or in person to support and nurture candidates on their recruitment pathway. Facilitate supervised DAA | |
4. Support the Career Centre manager in directly advising candidates onkey referrals including unsuccessful candidates at various steps. | |
5. Ensure process efficiency;continually monitoring the ongoing quality and governance functions to support the development and improvement of processes. | |
6. Ensure accurate and relevant records are created and maintained on AFRS system for all In-Service Transfers and Re-joiners. | |
7. Assist in administrative support activities within the Recruiting Sourcing Re-Joiners team as directed by AFR policy. | |
8. Support Outreach Team events including provision of careers advice sharing personal experience of life in the AF to engage and inform candidates. | |

Role may involve irregular working hours (inc rota-based weekend work with TOIL where applicable) with potential for hybrid and flexible working. |
