Role specifics and benefits: In L&D youll manage the full spectrum of obstetric carefrom labor support and fetal monitoring to delivery assistance and immediate postpartum care. Your day could include monitoring contractions and fetal heart patterns coordinating with obstetricians midwives and neonatal teams assisting with vaginal instrumental and cesarean deliveries and providing lactation support and family education. Youll participate in rapid response planning pain management and evidence-based care that emphasizes safety dignity and informed choice. As you grow there are clear pathways for specialty certification leadership roles and opportunities to contribute to teaching and quality improvement efforts.
