Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensuring accuracy completeness and timeliness of transactions processed by the team.

  • Supervising processing month end financial statements quarter end and year-end financial reporting.

  • Preparing annual statutory financial statements.

  • Examining in detail the monthly General Ledger reconciliations including bank reconciliations carried out by the team.

  • Reviewing VAT Income Tax and Stamp Duty computations.

  • Following accounting standards and conforming to the guidelines on information security.

  • Planning and organizing work methodically according to the priorities and deadlines.

  • Continuous process improvement and lead initiatives to digitalize core accounting and finance operations.

  • Carry out the necessary activities to obtain ISO certification for the companys Finance operations.

  • Supervising coaching and training staff on adherence to the accounting and reporting standards.

  • Facilitating information requirements on internal & external audit.

  • Implementing & maintaining sound internal control procedures.

Candidate Profile

  • ACA/ ACMA or ACCA with a six month to one year post qualifying experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in General Ledger functions and/or external audit with at least 3 years in a reputed audit firm.

  • Previous experience in F&A BPO Shared Services Operations will be preferred.

  • Candidate with a preference to build a career in BPO/SSO operations.

  • A strong team leader who has a positive attitude and ability to motivate coach and guide a team of staff

  • Able to work under minimum supervision.

  • Able to work under pressure.

  • Possessing competencies in client relations conflict management and negotiation skills.

  • A very good command of the English language.

  • Hands-on experience in SAP will be an added advantage.
