Job Summary
This position is for the team working on Oracle Permitting and Licensing applications. As a member of this team you would be working on innovative cloud technologies and expected to analyze design code troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end-user applications.
You should be able to work independently mentor others and be a highly contributing member of an agile team. having excellent organizational planning and time management skills with a successful record of accomplishment of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
As a member of the software development division you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify design and implement changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.
We are looking for a hands-on senior engineer having experience in Generative AI as we continue to push the boundaries of AI applications in our Public Sector Cloud solution.

Responsibilities
In our team we need more than just standard software engineering skills. You will need to:
- Collaborate with your team and beyond to establish and deliver the requirements of applications and semantic capabilities.
- Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to understand intent-driven user experiences AI requirements and potential applications.
- Ensure the scalability performance and reliability of the features delivered
- Learn and leverage Oracles AI product set and support strategic alignment across OPAL AI delivery.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI and machine learning to ensure our approach to delivering in the semantic space remains at the forefront of technological advancements.
- As a Senior Developer deliver automated unit and functional tests as a table-stakes component of your work.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for features our team creates ensuring consistent performance and resolving potential issues. This includes participating in customer support given appropriate planning.
- Regularly review and refine enhancements based on user feedback and analytics.
- Participate in code reviews team meetings and ongoing training sessions to continuously improve team collaboration and personal skill sets.
We encourage you to apply if you have most (or all!) of the following:
- B.E. . and proven experience in STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math).
- Passion for AI and its applications and preferably understanding of core AI concepts (NLP LLMs CV GenAI RAG).
- Experience with Java or a similar object-oriented programming language with the ability to write programs and apply OOP principles.
- Experience in front-end technologies including JavaScript CSS3 and HTML5 and libraries such as Oracle JET React Js Angular and jQuery.
- Experience in J2EE and Java technologies like ADF web services and REST.
- Experience working with SQL (preferably in Oracle)
- Experience building database-driven web applications
- Knowledge of SDLC preferably in an agile environment
- Experience working with IDEs such as Eclipse or IDEA
- Experience working with code versioning tools such as Git
- Great problem-solving skills.
- Superior communication skills
- Experience of 6-10 years in product development is required
