Job Summary

Position Role: JMC principal G1 Staff Officer responsible for the coordination and delivery of G1 Output on behalf of DCOS.

Responsibilities:
1. Principal lead on all HQ and Bde Non-Public Welfare Funds and HQ lead on the Lived Experience Innovation Fund (LEIF)/Retention Fund process for Scotland with outputs including the delivery of the Bde screening boards.
2. Secretary to the Army in Scotland Trust Fund (AIST) in charge of planning and co-ordinating the bi-annual grant boards and drafting the Trustees Annual Report and the Chairs report to the Royal Military Edinburgh Tattoo (REMT).
3. Secretary to the Army Piping and Drumming Committee (APDC) in charge of planning and co-ordinating the bi-annual meetings and drafting the Chairs report to the REMT.
4. HQ lead for planning and co-ordinating the quarterly Army in Scotland (AiS) conferences involving SME leads across the spectrum of G1 G9 functions.
5. HQ lead for planning and co-ordinating the quarterly Firm Base Steering Group (FBSG) meetings and the annual Firm Base conference involving SME leads from within the MoD and key stakeholders (the Scottish Government Service charity sector and Local Authorities).
6. HQ staff lead for the Lived Experience Common Operating Picture (L-Ex COP) for Scotland.
7. Principal G1 policy and planning officer (for OPCOM and JMC Scotland) in charge of drafting G1 operational staff work.
8. Deputise for the DCOS when required.
9. Support and deliver projects as directed by the CofC.
