Subject to Joint Boarding process and single service (sS Policies) a vacancy will arise for a OF3 to serve as a SO2 Security & Resilience Advisor (SyRA) in the Integrated Global Defence Network (IGDN) on FTRS LC Terms and Conditions of Service (TaCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 01 May 26 or earlier if achievable.
Unit Function:
CSOC develops and prepares an integrated Joint Force including the generation of joint enabling capabilities for current and future operations. The IGDN team provides 4* command direction support and assurance across the Permanent Joint Overseas Bases (PJOBs) as a Joint Enabling function.
Position Role:
The SO2 SyRA will support and assist the Governance Safety Safeguarding & Assurance (GSSA) Assistant Head (AH) by delivering security and resilience advice to Director IGDN (Functions) and Director IGDN (Delivery) and other subordinate levels of command.
Responsibilities:
- The SO2 SyRA will liaise closely with all other CSOC HQ Defence Lines of Development (DLODs) department leads and security and resilience staff to act as the Security Advisor. They will prioritise and allocate work whilst maintaining oversight of staff issues and ensuring all tasks are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Act as the Resilience Focal Point prioritising and allocating work while maintaining oversight of staff issues and ensuring all tasks are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Oversee the implementation of security and resilience policies across the CSOC.
- Develop and maintain a strong network across CSOC and wider Defence to coordinate and influence security and resilience activities.
- Conduct second line assurance based on criticality and risk across CSOC to meet mandated policy and reporting requirements of the Command and Defence. This includes tasking surveys and inspections of all CSOC units establishments and third parties.
- Proactive engagement with the CSOC PSyA to ensure the appropriate levels of protective security and resilience are maintained throughout the HLB and any relevant risks are fully understood liaising with the single service (sS) PSyAs where appropriate.
- Support special and infrastructure projects as required to ensure security and resilience are embedded and effective throughout the project life cycles.
- Act as IGDN Duty Officer as required.
