Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital is a 280-bed acute care campus located in the heart of Grosse Pointe. Opened in 1945 by the Sisters of Bon Secours it was acquired by Beaumont Health System in October 2007. Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital offers medical surgical emergency obstetric and critical care services.

In March 2012 the Cotton Family Birth Center at Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital was designated aBaby-Friendlybirth center by Baby-Friendly USA. Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital is also home to TheJames and Patricia Anderson Surgical Center a leading-edge hybrid surgical suite offering advanced learning technological advancements and a wide array of procedures ranging from traditional to minimally invasive approaches.

Scope of Work

Provides technical assistance in the documentation and clarification of medication history lists under the direction of the pharmacist. Processes enters and interprets physician/nurse medication histories under the direction of the pharmacist and completes full history documentation in computerized system. Clarifies information through communication with providers patients and pharmacies. Performs special projects for the department. Works with multiple medication automation systems.

Qualifications

  • Required High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred Associates Degree health care or related field
  • 1 year of relevant experience Pharmacy Required
  • 2 years of relevant experience Retail Pharmacy Preferred
  • LIC-Pharmacist Intern - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
  • LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire required And
  • CRT-Pharmacy Technician Certified (CPHT) - PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Board 90 Days preferred Or
  • CRT-Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) - NHA National Healthcareer Association 90 Days preferred
    • Medication History team members must have at least six months of medication history experiencebefore qualifying for hybrid or remote work.
    • Some initial on-site work will be required to attend nursing huddles and meet with admitting/attending providers to establish relationships.
