About the position
The Finance Manager provides overall day-to-day leadership and management and direction of finance accounting administration and payroll functions for Brockman. This includes ensuring timely and accurate reporting reliable project reporting sound budgeting and forecasting and ensuring appropriate disciplines and controls are in place.
The Finance Manager has key input into the financial strategies of Brockman including funding structure cash flow management and capital allocations and supports the General Manager in understanding the companys financial position on a timely basis. The role sits on the management team at Brockman Engineering and works closely with the rest of management to support the decision-making process to deliver the best outcomes. The role will also work closely with the CFO of EVZ Limited to deliver monthly consolidated reporting to the board and deliver system and procedural improvements both in general accounting and operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensures compliance of all accounting taxation and statutory obligations.
- Responsibility for the management of cash flow for Brockman and ensures effective management of this on a day-to-day basis.
- Establishes project budgets and the budget review process to measure actual against budgeted performance.
- Prepares timely and reliable forecasts of expected performance and cash flows.
- Ensures projects are accurately accounted and project performance reported on a timely basis to the General Manager and EVZ.
- Improves business performance through the close integration of financial and operational functions.
- Works closely with the CFO to deliver accurate and timely consolidated reporting for EVZ Corporate.
- Works with the CFO to continuously improve financial and procedural processes and systems.
- Ensure delegation of authority frameworks are implemented and adhered to supporting compliance and strategic agility
- Look after the intercompany transactions for two separate entities.

About You

- CPA or equivalent with 10 years experience in a similar role.
- Experience in developing teams and leading professional staff.
- Experience in project/job cost accounting and Work in Progress (WIP) reporting.
- Experience sitting on a management team and working with upper management.
- Good communications skills required.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
This position will require a current National Police Check (no more than 6 months old) a current drivers licence and evidence of right to work in Australia.
