Job Summary and Responsibilities
Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nutrition Assistant I to join our Dietary team. This role is essential in providing high-quality nutritional care to our residents and patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with meal preparation including portioning plating and serving food.
- Follow established recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment adhering to all safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist with food inventory and ordering.
- Provide excellent customer service to visitors and patients ensuring their dietary needs are met.
- Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian and other dietary staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with special dietary needs including allergies intolerances and therapeutic diets.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on best practices.
This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Job Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED
- Fire Safety card within 90 Days
