Modern Retail Manager Position Summary
The Modern Retail Manager is responsible for driving Southeast Toyota Finances Modern Retail strategy across digital channels dealer operations and customer-facing experiences. This role plays a central part in unifying SETF SET TMNA/TFS Toyota dealers and internal IT product/engineering teams to deliver connected retail experiences that streamline workflows and elevate customer satisfaction.
Success in this role requires strong product and operational thinking combined with hands-on experience supporting or partnering with dealerships understanding their retail workflows and navigating the interconnected ecosystem between OEM captive finance and dealer technology. This expertise enables the Manager to translate complex operational needs into practical solutions that improve dealer efficiency enhance digital-to-physical retail transitions and support SETFs long-term Modern Retail vision.
Key Responsibilities
Modern Retail Strategy & Execution
Manage and drive alignment of Modern Retail initiatives across SETF SET TMNA/TFS Toyota dealers and internal partners.
Drive execution of product capabilities deployments and enhancements that streamline retail F&I and digital channel experiences.
Support TFS/TMNA roadmaps with SETF-aligned strategies while defining organizational readiness needs.
Translate strategic objectives into actionable implementation plans with clear roadmaps milestones and alignment across business and technical teams.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
Collaborate with Sales Marketing Product ITS Data/Analytics Legal and external stakeholders to support Modern Retail product roadmaps releases and deployment activities.
Serve as a central communication hub ensuring clarity transparency and strong cross-functional alignment.
Represent SETF at dealer meetings OEM touchpoints industry events and cross-functional stakeholder sessions.
Dealer OEM and Customer Integration
Build strong relationships with key dealerships and internal personnel to drive adoption and ensure successful program execution.
Ensure Modern Retail programs and tools support dealership operational workflows digital retailing tools F&I processes and financing pathways.
Product & Program Ownership
Define and prioritize product features requirements and enhancements within the Modern Retail workstream.
Monitor key metrics related to adoption effectiveness and performance to guide decision-making.
Develop manage and communicate plans status updates and backlog alignment with key stakeholders.
Partner with ITS and product teams to ensure timely launches stable performance and rapid iteration cycles.
Sales Support & Field Enablement
Create enablement materials process documentation and field-friendly resources to support alignment and adoption.
Provide analytics and reporting to measure effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.
Develop executive-level presentations dealer engagement materials and field training content to drive awareness adoption and performance.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Strong understanding of dealership operations retail workflows F&I processes and OEMcaptivedealer integration
Digital retailing or automotive retail transformation experience
Product ownership or program management experience within a technical or operational environment
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational capability
Ability to build strong working relationships across diverse teams
Flexibility and adaptability in an evolving retail and technology landscape
Familiarity with Azure DevOps analytics platforms and modern technology tools
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Automotive Management Communications or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience in automotive retail dealership operations digital retailing product management or related areas
Experience collaborating with dealers field teams OEMs or captive finance organizations
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives
