Main Responsibilities:
- Work within the convertible bonds investment team of four people composed of two portfolio managers one fundamental analyst and one quantitative analyst;
- Conduct in-depth research on specific companies using both equity and credit analysis;
- Collaborate with the quantitative analyst to build and enhance a quantitative framework leveraging deep learning and Al techniques to identify the most relevant financial metrics to screen companies across all industries;
- Contribute to the design testing and interpretation of quantitative signals and models derived from this framework;
- Present investment and research ideas to the portfolio managers;
- Participate in thematic conferences company meetings and sell-side analyst meetings;
- Build and maintain databases to support company valuation quantitative screening and portfolio monitoring.
This role will directly support the portfolio managers by:
- Allowing us to expand our internal databases and models used for company valuation and idea generation;
- Strengthening our ability to generate test and implement new trade ideas in a timely manner including those based on Al-driven insights.
Qualifications :
The candidate needs to be eligible for an internship under a school placement agreement covering the entire duration.
- Masters level student in finance economics management engineering or related field;
- Solid academic grounding in corporate finance accounting and financial markets;
- First experience in finance asset management investment banking or corporate banking;
- Prior Involvement in financial modelling company valuation or portfolio analysis will be valued;
- Strong interest in financial markets is essential; Curiosity about companies industries & macroeconomics;
- Basic knowledge of equity and credit analysis ideally with some familiarity with convertible bonds or fixed income products;
- Ability to perform financial modelling and company valuation using Excel. Comfortable handling
quantitative data building simple models and interpreting financial ratios; - Programming skills in VBA or Python are a strong plus;
- Capacity to summarize research and produce clear written investment notes and presentations;
- Analytical mindset rigorous and detail-oriented in both research and numbers.
- Entrepreneurial and proactive attitude; able to take initiative and bring new ideas.
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral); comfortable presenting in front of portfolio managers;
- Proven team spirit and ability to work collaboratively in a small high-performing team.
- Ability to work under time pressure prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a demanding environment. High level of integrity professionalism and discretion.
