Role description:
- Arcadis GEC Team coordinating activities required to produce engineering deliverables. May be required to act as a Line Manager
- Technical staff managed to ensure delivery to time and cost and Client office expectations
- Regional office stakeholders Scope works estimate budgets agree project objectives communicate project status and facilitate resolution of project issues and risks
- In a Task Manager role manage technical staff to ensure delivery to required time cost and quality parameters
- Recognized locally as a technical expert within a market sector
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing technical aspects of larger and/or more complex tasks or components of projects meeting financial quality timeframe and health and safety objectives
- Manage the delivery of elements of larger projects in accordance with Arcadis management systems to meet time quality budgetary and health and safety targets
- Typically assigned to provide a controlling technical role on medium size and/or moderately complex tasks in single discipline
- Coordinate and manage teams of single (own) discipline engineers and technicians
- May undertake a Task Management Role in line with Arcadis Task Manager Academy competence requirements
- Work to ensure maximum internal stakeholder satisfaction championing care and proactively working with internal stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from recognized University.
- A masters degree is an advantage.
- Licensed Registered Civil Engineer
- Possess 7-15 years of relevant professional experience
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is an advantage but is not required.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to provide solutions to technical problems and excellent mathematical skills applied in engineering calculations.
- Ability to lead with good influencing motivating and delegating skills.
- Organizational skills and proactive approach in project management.
- Highly proficient in the application of international design standards such as: UK US European Canadian Local Codes.
- Highly proficient in structural engineering design fundamentals
- Knowledgeable in AUTOCAD REVIT Navisworks and BIM environment.
- Highly proficient in using engineering software such as: ETABS SAFE STAAD ROBOT PROKON TEDDS RAM Connection etc.
- Programming knowledge using C++ Python Dynamo is an advantage.
- Actively continue to develop personally and technical knowledge and new emerging technology through regular CPD training.
