The Information Domain Lead is responsible for the definition of the standard information requirements for their domain and to develop and execute a roadmap to deliver on these needs increasing data quality information standardisation and speed to insight in the business.
Key activities
Data & Analytics Governance
- Defines Information Standards for their domain ( KPIs Hierarchical structures)
- Defines and prioritises Data sets required to support their domain..
Data Set Creation
- Supports the Information Architects in identifying source data and its owner.
- Tests and validates data sets transformations etc.
- Approves data sets for release.
Management of Data Catalogue
- Works with Information Analysts to ensure Data sets are complete and available.
- Works with Data Owners to address issues with source data quality.
- Raises change requests and recommends for approval
Report/Dashboard Creation
- Identifies requirements for reports or dashboards including KPIs dimensions user profiles
- Creates/ co-creates dashboards using existing data sets.
D&A Daily Operations
- Reviews dashboards on a daily basis to ensure data is complete and accurate.
- Manages access requests and security requirements.
- Trains end users on general skills required to use reporting tools and specifics of dashboards.
Management of report Catalogue
- Works with Information Architect to ensure that report catalogue is up to date.
- Governs report/ dashboard catalogue to ensure no duplication.
- Reviews utilisation and seeks optimisation opportunities.
Qualifications :
Experience
- Bachellor degree in TI or relative.
- Previous experience in a Analytics management role preferably as a team lead.
- Relevant information domain experience.
- Manufacturing B2B or B2c environment.
