Banking Specialist Payments CH (German speaking)

Banking Operations is a strategic Avaloq service line providing Banking Operations outsourcing services to banks. We are organized as a global Business Area running state-of-the art Backoffice services with industry leading automation quality and risk standards. We are experts in providing a true value add to our clients and thus always look to add creative and client-oriented personalities with drive and passion to our team.

Your key tasks

• Execute the daily activity on payments transactions (order entry validation and collateral activities) regarding domestic and international commercial payments in line with the standard market rules (swift/sepa/target/sic format cut-off times etc)
• Manage the investigation activity towards correspondent banks / ordering banks / beneficiary banks in strict cooperation with Clients
• Analyse the pending cash open items assigned to Payments Team and take all the necessary steps to close the open positions with correspondent banks
• Cooperate / communicate with clients and counterparties efficiently
• Be involved proactively in the continuous improvement of processes and automation in order to guarantee the best service and client experience

Qualifications :

• At least 2-3 years of experience in Back Office Payments or similar
• Capability to work autonomously in a highly challenging fast-paced and complex environment
• High flexibility and willingness to learn
• Good team player
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Proficiency in English and German (B2)

It would be a real bonus if you have

• Knowledge of Avaloq Core Banking System
• Knowledge of Messaging systems: Finastra GMP or IGT and Bottomline GTex
