We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Materials Handling Engineer who will join our Mechanical Resources Team. In collaboration with the greater Energy and Resources team this role will be called upon to assume responsibility for a multitude of multidisciplinary projects primarily in the Mining sectors. Initially this position will be taking a development role in the design of materials handling projects across Western Canada.
These skills combined with excellent business acumen will be key in growing our Western Canadian team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Participate and produce various deliverables in line with the project needs;
- Developing and producing design deliverables on a variety of industrial projects
- Work in multidisciplinary project teams produce and sign off deliverables;
- Work with the department Lead to pursue new business opportunities with new and/or existing clients
- Assist stakeholders in proposal writing and fee estimates
- Collaboratively support business/operations through sound management of value risk content communication knowledge & resources
- Provide expertise in brownfield and sustaining projects
- Ensuring compliance to Health & Safety as well as all other regulations & policies
- Development & implementation of budgets
- Partake to site surveys
Qualifications :
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Manufacturing Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
- 4 years of completing Engineering design work in the Mining sector
- designation or eligible to become a within Canada is an asset
- Proven organizational analytical & problem-solving skills;
- Able to multi-task meet deadlines self-motivate and adapt to change;
- Excellent Communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
- Experience with metal / mineral processing plants piping cooling systems compression mining operations conveyance systems and / or pressure vessels is considered an asset
