Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking an Electrical Engineer for immediate employment for the London/ Kitchener Ontario office. This position is to fill an existing position within the team.

Job Summary:

You will support projects across Water & Wastewater Transportation Buildings and Sustainability sectors including renewable energy (PV) and electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. You will work under moderate supervision and contribute to a variety of engineering design and analysis tasks while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.


The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Perform electrical analyses calculations and routine tests in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Assist in preparing technical specifications design drawings memos and reports.
  • Identify discrepancies in results and propose solutions using sound engineering judgment.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to fulfill project scope budget and timeline.
  • Conduct site visits inspections and assessments to evaluate the electrical conditions and provide recommendations.
  • Provide technical or operational guidance to less experienced engineers EITs and technicians.
  • Stay updated on industry codes regulations and best practices to ensure high-quality design solutions.

Qualifications :

 Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering four (4) years of relevant professional experience 
  • Professional Engineer (.) designation in Ontario in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in sectors such as Water & Wastewater Transportation Buildings and Sustainability (PV and EV systems).
  • Experience in design tools: AutoCAD Revit ETAP SKM or similar.
  • Solid Knowledge of power systems: MV/LV distribution lighting controls renewable energy systems.
  • Proficiency with engineering calculations and preparing technical documentation.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills (English proficiency essential).
  • Ability to recognize and adhere to established deadlines and schedules is a must.
  • Ability to fit into a fast-paced team environment and/or work independently.
  • Self-motivated detail oriented and multi-tasking.
