Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking an Electrical Engineer for immediate employment for the London/ Kitchener Ontario office. This position is to fill an existing position within the team.
Job Summary:
You will support projects across Water & Wastewater Transportation Buildings and Sustainability sectors including renewable energy (PV) and electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. You will work under moderate supervision and contribute to a variety of engineering design and analysis tasks while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to those listed below:
- Perform electrical analyses calculations and routine tests in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Assist in preparing technical specifications design drawings memos and reports.
- Identify discrepancies in results and propose solutions using sound engineering judgment.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to fulfill project scope budget and timeline.
- Conduct site visits inspections and assessments to evaluate the electrical conditions and provide recommendations.
- Provide technical or operational guidance to less experienced engineers EITs and technicians.
- Stay updated on industry codes regulations and best practices to ensure high-quality design solutions.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering four (4) years of relevant professional experience
- Professional Engineer (.) designation in Ontario in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sectors such as Water & Wastewater Transportation Buildings and Sustainability (PV and EV systems).
- Experience in design tools: AutoCAD Revit ETAP SKM or similar.
- Solid Knowledge of power systems: MV/LV distribution lighting controls renewable energy systems.
- Proficiency with engineering calculations and preparing technical documentation.
- Good written and verbal communication skills (English proficiency essential).
- Ability to recognize and adhere to established deadlines and schedules is a must.
- Ability to fit into a fast-paced team environment and/or work independently.
- Self-motivated detail oriented and multi-tasking.
