As the Technician Airport Maintenance Services youll be responsible for servicing maintaining and repairing aircraft tooling and equipment within an asset management system framework. Youll work closely with manufacturer guidelines and asset management systems (MXI) to ensure all tooling is safe compliant and operational. Key responsibilities include coordinating tooling repairs to minimise operational impact identifying maintenance trends and contributing to safety initiatives under the Qantas S.A.F.E system. This role requires strong leadership organisational skills and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards in a dynamic environment.

Youll have

  • A mechanical trade certificate or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia
  • Hands-on experience in aircraft tooling or plant and equipment maintenance
  • Ability to interpret CAD drawings and follow manufacturer maintenance manuals
  • Skills in welding basic sheet metal work hydraulic & pneumatic systems
  • Experience with hoists and lifting equipment (e.g. rigging gear slings chain hoists)
  • Proficiency in pneumatic & hydraulic system servicing and basic electronics (e.g. PLCs circuit boards IT equipment)
  • Strong understanding of tooling and equipment maintenance procedures
  • Proven technical problem-solving skills and asset maintenance experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Strong organisational skills sound computer literacy and a customer-focused mindset
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on additional duties as needed
