Job Summary

The Opportunity

Joining our team as an Eating Disorder Nurse you will provide high-quality patient-centred and recovery-focused care to individuals experiencing eating disorders within an inpatient setting. This role includes physical psychological and behavioural support delivered using evidence-based frameworks.

Working closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team you will promote medical stability nutritional rehabilitation emotional regulation and ongoing recovery. With guidance from the Nurse Unit Manager and Clinical Nurses youll be supported to provide high-quality care while developing your clinical skills within this specialised setting.

About You

To be successful in this role you will be a positive and effective team player who brings excellent clinical and interpersonal skills.

  • Relevant registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum 2 years post graduate experience in mental health nursing
  • Previous experience in an eating disorder unit
  • Strong assessment observation and documentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage challenging behaviours safety and therapeutically
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of legislative requirements in relation to nursing practice.

Remuneration

A base hourly rate ranging from $41.89 - $54.01 superannuation applicable penalty rates. Based on experience level and qualifications (QLD RN/RM Level 1.2 - 1.8)
