We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Fire Protection/Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This critical role involves researching developing and producing mechanical construction drawings while applying expertise in industry concepts practices and procedures with potential consultation on complex projects. Key Responsibilities
Design fire protection and plumbing systems (e.g. sprinkler layouts fire pump sizing piping sanitary medical gas domestic water heating ductwork).
Perform system calculations Life Cycle Cost Analysis and equipment selections.
Develop construction documents and job-specific specifications.
Conduct field investigations site visits and construction inspections.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
Serve as Engineer of Record and mentor junior staff.
Ensure compliance with codes such as NFPA ASHRAE and IBC.
High proficiency in computer-aided design tools and software.
Salary Ranges: $120000 - $180000
Qualifications:
Healthcare Experience is required
Education:Bachelors Degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited)
Experience:8 years as a licensed professional engineer
Computer Skills: Revit Auto CAD MEP MS Office Suite Trace 3D
Travel: up to 20% depending on project
Licenses/Certifications:
Current PE License (required)
NCEES Registration
Licensed in at least one U.S. state
Certified Plumbing Designer (Preferred)
LEED Green Globes or other sustainability credentials (Preferred)
