We are working with a well-regarded secondary school in the Barnet area that is seeking a reliable and organised Art Technician to join their Art department from January. This is a full-time term-time position offering an excellent opportunity to support creative teaching and learning within a busy and well-resourced department.
As Art Technician you will provide practical and technical support to Art staff across KS3KS5. You will play a key role in preparing materials for lessons maintaining equipment and ensuring studio spaces are safe organised and ready for use.
The role is essential to the smooth running of the department and would suit someone with a practical background in Art Design or a related creative field.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing materials tools and equipment for lessons
Maintaining and organising Art rooms and storage areas
Supporting staff during practical lessons when required
Assisting with displays exhibitions and coursework moderation periods
Managing stock levels and ordering supplies

Practical experience in Art Design or a creative discipline

Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential
Paid on the local authority support staff scale dependent on experience.
